Empty Nesters
The B'nai Tikvah Empty Nesters encompasses over 200 Synagogue families who are loosely defined as having children of college age or older and who are interested in joining their peers at cultural and social programs with a Jewish slant. Over the past three years, this has included Shabbat dinners, featured speakers, movie and book reviews, field trips to sites of Jewish significance, concerts, etc. The Empty Nesters' events are a great way to renew old ties or make new friends and keep active in synagogue and Jewish community life

- Aaron Freeman and Sharon Rosenzweig on The Comic Torah - Comedian and media personality Aaron Freeman and visual artist Sharon Rosenzweig have reimagined the Torah in a wildly unorthodox, yet deeply faithful way. After three years of collaboration and on-line postings of the weekly parsha, they have now published The Comic Torah as a book. Aaron and Sharon join us to discuss this unique work. Warning: this program contains graphic representations of the Deity, racially diverse Israelites, bloodshed, and idolatrous orgies. And as we have learned to expect from Aaron, anything else is possible. 7:00 pm dessert, 7:30 pm program, $6 per person
