Join Sisterhood and Connect with the Women of B’nai Tikvah!
Congregation B’nai Tikvah Sisterhood enhances your Bnai Tikvah life by bringing together the best experiences of sisterhood, spirituality, education and community. Come to any of our programs and meet new women…gain insight into Jewish traditions, ponder the meaning of life…and have a good time!
Funds raised from Sisterhood programs and dues are utilized to support our congregation, as well as the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism. In the past year our funds have bought tee shirts for our USY basketball team, Art for the Ladies room near the lobby, supplies for the kitchen, and card tables for synagogue use.
Voluntary dues are $36 per year. Additional donations are welcomed!
Sisterhood Kick-Off Program for 2017-2018
Sisterhood Shabbat – Each year the women of Sisterhood participate in and lead our Shabbat morning services. We always have an excellent speaker and sponsor a delicious Kiddush lunch. This is a wonderful Shabbat morning for all who attend!
Rosh Chodesh Study – Celebrating the new month of the Jewish calendar with other women is a long standing tradition in Judaism. Join us as we delve into the significance of Judaism in our lives, learn from knowledgeable speakers, and discuss our experiences as Jewish women in America.
Sisterhood Book Club – On the third Wednesday evening of each month, the book club meets at a member’s home. Discussion is facilitated by our own Judy Levin. This is a chance to meet new people, coupled with lively discussion. Contact Phyllis Nathan for additional information: email@example.com
Social Events – Several times a year Sisterhood hosts programs that encourage the women of our community to meet with both old and new friends. Invigorating and fun, past evenings have included yoga nights, culinary workshops, belly dancing, game night, and Canasta lessons. We are always open to receiving new program suggestions!
Sisterhood Gift Shop – With a broad array of quality Judaic items and gifts, toys and jewelry, the Sisterhood Gift Shop is open on Sunday mornings from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, as well as by appointment. Not only do we have a great selection of kippot, Kiddush cups, tallits, candle sticks and hostess gifts, but we are happy to special order any item you see at another vendor. We will have it conveniently ready for you as quickly as possible. We also sell tribute and donation cards to mark life cycle events. Sisterhood members receive a 10% discount!
